Privacy Policy

We collect as little as possible to keep the site running. Here is exactly what, why, and how we handle it.

1. What We Collect

We collect two kinds of information.

  • What you give us. When you fill out the contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject line, and message. We do not store this in a public database. It goes to the editorial inbox.
  • What your browser sends. Standard server logs include your IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps. Aggregated analytics may include pageviews, country, and device type. We do not link analytics to identifiable people.

2. How We Use It

We use information you submit through the contact form to reply to you. We use server logs and aggregated analytics to understand how the site is used, fix bugs, and decide what to write next. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with marketers.

3. Cookies

We use a session cookie to protect the contact form against cross-site request forgery. We may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool that sets a cookie to count unique sessions. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

4. Third-Party Links

When you click an outbound link to a venue or operator, you leave our site and enter the privacy regime of that third party. We are not responsible for what they collect or how they use it. Read their policies before you book.

5. Affiliate Tracking

Some outbound links pass an affiliate identifier so the operator can credit a referral. The identifier does not include personally identifiable information.

6. Data Retention

Contact form messages live in the editorial inbox until they are no longer relevant, typically less than 12 months. Server logs rotate on a 30-day cycle.

7. Your Rights

If you live in a jurisdiction that grants data rights (such as GDPR or CCPA), you can ask us to confirm what we have, correct it, or delete it. Use Click to reveal with the request.

8. Changes

If we update this policy, the new effective date appears at the top. Material changes will be flagged in a banner for at least 30 days.

9. Contact
